Description
Fred Morrison Scottish Smallpipes are a beautifully crafted precision musical instrument with great sound quality. Smallpipes have a softer, mellower and sweeter sound than the Highland pipes, making them ideal for playing at home or in a group setting where volume might be an issue. The fingering technique is the same as the Highland pipes and they are increasingly popular with Highland pipers who wish to enrich their piping experience by trying something new.
With plain ferrules, imitation ivory drone tops and imitation ivory chanter sole.
Fred Morrison Smallpipes are available in the keys of A, C or D.
The key of A set is pictured on these pages.
* Sterling silver mounts are also an option. Please contact us for pricing.

I bought a set mouth blown with no engravings. When the package arrived, I was curious, I didn’t see a set of Fred Morrison small pipes in real before. I just loved the design above any other brand on photo, but how would it be when I got hem ? Well, I was blown away. I just love the design – the feel – THE SOUND !!! I had never played small pipes before, but after 15 minutes I was playing some tunes. The pipes arrive all set to play – you just need to set the drones and off you go. Moisture control already in place – – valve installed – everything perfectly hemped. There is not one detail they missed. The service before and after purchase is perfect. I had a bit of problem to buy a set and was helped very quick. Problem solved in no time. I can recommend the small pipes very much ! And don’t be afraid of the service – they do an outstanding job. You can buy with trust here ! Thank you, Fred and Deirdre. A very happy customer.

Wonderful idea to make additional connection to the chanter, in order to protect the reed! Tha mi air bhioran! Tapadh leibh! The other amazing thing is the drying system, as well as the drone switch. All in all, a wonderful job! I was ment to play Highland bagpipes, but as I heard the sound of this one, I was sold. You can describe it with words. Thank you, Fred, you brought harmony in my music world
